Gordon Julien is the Country Head of Republic Bank (EC) Limited, Saint Lucia since November 2019. Prior to taking up this assignment, Gordon had a distinguished career with Scotiabank with extensive branch and country management experience. He started his career at Scotiabank in 2004 as Senior Manager Compliance with responsibility for managing the Bank’s overall Compliance program for nine (9) Scotiabank countries. He then completed a three year Management Trainee programme in Barbados and assumed the role of Country Manager of Antigua for over five years and St. Kitts Nevis for two years prior to joining Republic Bank in Saint Lucia.
Gordon has a strong regulatory and compliance background having worked at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank as a Bank Examiner for over 7 years prior to joining Scotiabank.
He holds a BSc (Hons) from the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill Campus) in Economics and Accounting and an MSc in Financial Management from the University of London. He is a Rotarian and Secretary of the Rotary Club of Saint Lucia (2020-21) and is presently the Corporate Secretary of the Eastern Caribbean Automatic Clearing House Services Incorporated. He is also a member of the Saint Lucia Golf Association.
Sandra Fontenelle has twenty-two (22) years financial services experience in retail, business and corporate banking. She started her career in banking as a management trainee and has experience in Sales, Human Resource Management and banking operations.
Sandra served as Country Manager for RBC St. Lucia from 2015 to 2021 after leading a regional sub-group (St. Kitts/Nevis & Montserrat) as Area Vice President. As part of the acquisition of RBC by 1st National Bank, Sandra joined the 1st National team, and currently serves as Deputy Managing Director. She is a Sales coach, mentor and chief integrator of all units in the St. Lucia operations. Sandra models her professional behaviour around a robust code of conduct.
On the lighter side she loves music has a growth mindset and loves to travel and gym.
